Ecnephias - New signing and new album 'Inferno'
Occult Metal band Ecnephias have signed a deal with Scarlet Records for the release of their third album ‘Inferno’, which has been described as a substantial step forward in the band’s career, in multiple ways: the lyrics will be both in their native Italian and English languages and the music is developing in a more mature and melodic direction without denaturalizing Ecnephias’ distinctive heavy sound, Mediterranean influences and refined arrangements. Here’s how the band leader, Mancan, commented the event: “Those who follow Ecnephias and have an open mind towards extreme music, will not be disappointed by this new release. And for those of you who like comparisons, I would say that ‘Inferno’ is the perfect mix of Rotting Christ’s more melodic approach, Paradise Lost and Dark Rock, with a very personal ‘Mediterranean’ and ‘theatrical’ touch. This record is for those who have always followed us and those who want to experience something new.” ‘Inferno’ will be released in December 2011. More news on www.ecnephias.com.
Necrodeath - New album 'Idiosyncrasy'
Legendary black/thrashers Necrodeath are set to release their brand-new album ‘Idiosyncrasy’ on Scarlet Records. This new effort is arguably the band’s most challenging so far, both musically and lyrically, consisting in one single (40 min. long) track which sums Necrodeath’s musical approach without necessarily trying to sound “progressive”. Drummer Peso has once again written the majority of the music, this time with a big help from guitarist Pier Gonella, whose importance within the band’s dynamics is constantly increasing. Singer Flegias and Peso are co-authors of the lyrical concept, inspired by the eternal conflict between good and evil and the struggle towards reaching the interior peace against all odds.
'Idiosyncrasy' was recorded at Outer Sound Studios in Rome, Italy and Music Art Studios in Rapallo, Italy and mixed by Giuseppe Orlando (Novembre). The artwork, inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s classic movie ‘Reservoir Dogs’, has been made by Nerve Design (Nile, Threshold, Vision Divine, Bulldozer). Leif Jensen (Dew-Scented) is credited as a very special guest on vocals.
A trailer of the new album si available on Necrodeath's official Youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWmgPfdUeAM)

February 24th 2011 saw the band embarking on a full European tour with Finnish power metallers Sonata Arctica.
“I have very fond memories of that year 1991. It all started out with an idea by Olaf Thorsen and like every young band, all we wanted to do was rock out in our practice room, hoping to develop our passion into something more. What is now a rare green cassette, 'Midnight Resistance', soon became our very first recording. Since then, we've experienced all the ups and downs of being in a band, through critically-acclaimed albums, fan recognition, line-up changes, personal issues and hundreds of gigs played in almost every corner of the world. This new release is, first of all, our own way to look back at things and put them in prospective. We just wanted to trace back our career and try to realize how much we have done and how much we still want to achieve. We also wanted to take a little rest before this new, exciting chapter of our lives and career, the European tour with Sonata Arctica, in support of our latest release ‘Return To Heaven Denied Pt. 2 - A Midnight Autum's Dream’. But we couldn't do all this on our own, and here comes the real reason why we wanted to put out this new release: make sure you will be part of Labyrinth's history once again. We still have a long way to go.”

Royal Hunt – New signing and new album 'X'
Legendary Danish hard rock/prog metal band Royal Hunt have signed a deal with Scarlet Records for the European release of their new album ‘X’. After selling 1.5 million albums and touring the world numerous times, the band’s still going strong, with André Andersen, keyboardist and main composer since day one, heading back to the roots of Rock with a brand new, astonishing 70´s inspired album. Here’s how Andersen himself commented the event: “This album came out of our love for the 70´s music (tagged as Classic Rock nowadays) – from Kansas, Genesis and ELP to Uriah Heep and Deep Purple - music which was/is very adventurous while just a tad naïve at the same time (as some might say). We all are notoriously resistant to categorize it in any way, form or shape, but (if hard pressed) would go as far as saying that it’s definitely much more hard rock than metal and if by ‘progressive’ you might mean some odd time signatures here and there as well as random key changes – sure, there’re tons of them here… as well as really basic, simple stuff – so go figure.” The album will be released in June 2010 and “If you’re into pre-MTV, pre-computer/digital but pure quality rock – this thing’s been tailor made for you!” Check out the latest news on www.royalhunt.com or www.myspace.com/royalhuntmusic

Wuthering Heights – New signing and new album 'Salt'
Formed back in the beginning of the nineties, Wuthering Heights started to draw attention from the Denmark scene to the entire world. Their brilliant epos of majestic and symphonic speed power metal with progressive and folk roots became the trademark of their entire discography. Their previous albums were very well received by fans and media and solidified Wuthering Heights' status as one of the most interesting bands to emerge on the international heavy metal scene in recent years. Finally, after three years of silence, the band is back with a brand-new album, the 5th in their outstanding career, titled ‘Salt’ and set to be released on the 12th April on Scarlet Records. Featuring the same line-up as seen on ‘The Shadow Cabinet’, Erik and the boys have created an epic album which is undoubtedly their strongest to date. While writing its lyrics, Erik discovered that the imagery of the sea was a perfect setting for his dark tales of personal and global armageddon. And consequently the music has traded some of its celtic delicacy for the rawness of the sailor´s tunes. Never before the end of the world has sounded this uplifting. Their wide range of influences include bands such as Iced Earth, Sonata Arctica, Nocturnal Rites, Metallica, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames and many more, but it's life in general that inspires this kick-ass quintet’s music, which often deals with subjects such as escaping difficult situations by fighting your way through them, thinking on your own and being resourceful individuals when hard times come. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in cooperation with renowned Studiomega in Varberg, Sweden (Tiamat, Katatonia, Sonic Syndicate, Beseech, Lake Of Tears), and includes very special guest appearances by Swedish guitar wizard Mattias "IA" Eklundh and former Lost Horizon singer Daniel Heiman.
