Try to think at a sort of mixture of very unique bands such as Tool, Mastodon, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Anathema and System Of A Down and you’ll get an idea of what Bokor sound like. New blood, talent, experience and energy came from new drummer Daniel Melo and guitarist Jimmy Larsén. Reluctantly written, recorded and produced by the band itself at Realtime Recording with the soundcrafting, editing and mixing skills of Daniel Gese. Artwork, guest vocals and inspiring ideas came from the immense talent of Valentin Maelstrom. Rhodes piano and Hammond once again played by Niclas Kinnander. A directive for the Ghost Stories to end spoken by Marielle Martinz of Misty. 'Vermin Soul' can be described in very simple words: "More of everything". In the band's own words: "A frequent question in the interviews for our last record was if it was a theme-album. No, it wasn’t. This album may be. Indeed, all children know where spiders come from. After all, the roaches, rats, mosquitoes and woodlice will survive in the end. And that’s a soothing thought." Again it’s time for a change. It’s time for Bokor.

Vision Divine - Fabio Lione is the new singer of the band
Italian melodic power metallers Vision Divine, the brainchild of ex-Labyrinth mastermind Olaf Thörsen, have issued the following statement:
“We are very happy and proud to finally announce that Fabio Lione has just joined the Vision Divine Family again.
He's the most natural choice for us, and the first person we thought about, ‘cause Fabio is a wonderful singer and a very special friend.
Fabio, along with Olaf, created Vision Divine 10 years ago, he wrote wonderful melodies for the first three albums (from the debut ‘Vision Divine’ up to the high acclaimed ‘Stream Of Consciousness’).
Just to be clear, Fabio is fully involved with the band, not as session musician but as an official member of the line-up, including recording sessions, live shows and tours.
We apologize for how long it took to give you this news, but we all wanted to make things properly in order not to give illusions to anybody nor to do some wrong move.
Now it's official: Fabio will be on stage with the band starting from June 20th (Morarock) and he's already working to our new album, which recordings are scheduled starting from August 11th. We know that every time there's a change in our line-up somebody gets concerned and fears that things could go wrong; every time there are gossips around the names and the reasons why things have happened. As always, we let fact talk on behalf of the band, and so far facts always told we were right making the best decision in order to let Vision Divine grow up as it deserves…
We would like to spend some words for you guys who supported us through the years: your friendship arrived to us from all around the world, and we want to dedicate our new album to all of you, who never lost your faith in us. Once again, we are sure you won't regret.
Stay Divine, see you in tour.”

Schizo - Line-up changes
Italian extreme metal veterans Schizo have just announced that former bassist and mainman Alberto Penzin is no longer a member of the band. This is what AP himself has to say regarding his departure, as well as guitarist S.B. Reder…

“I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’m going to say but I finally came to the very sad conlusion that I need to step out of the band. I’m very proud of all we have slowly accomplished in over two decades of activity but nowadays I don’t feel for Schizo the same type of emotional involvement I felt when we released ‘Total Schizophrenia’ and, specially, ‘Main Frame Collapse’. I need to rediscover my roots, both musically and in a more personal way. My feelings are still close to that moment in time, and I just want to follow that vibe, which is not possible with the group's current incarnation. No regrets or any kind of dispute with the other members of the band. I just prefer to leave. And soon you will see me, along with my true friend and partner in crime S.B. Reder and Necrodeath's drummer Peso, coming back with my former project Mondocane. But that’s another story…
Last but not least, I would really like to thank all of the fans and friends that supported me and keep on supporting our music. See you soon then, just on different shores. As someone says: that which does not kill us makes us stronger..."
Alberto P.

“I respect Alberto’s decision in the strongest way. Friendship is way more important than music itself. And I will proudly go on making music with Schizo in the best way I can. And in the same way I will put all of myself in Mondocane…"

Spice And The RJ Band - New signing and debut album 'The Will'
Spice And The RJ Band is the name of a new, exciting project featuring vocalist/songwriter Spice (Kayser, ex-Spiritual Beggars) and drummer Bob Ruben (Kayser, The Mushroom River Band), which will release its debut album ‘The Will’ in October on Scarlet Records. The band is driven by an insane passion for ‘70s psychedelic/soul/blues/hard rock sound that never went by. Here’s what Spice itself has to say about this:
“Spice And The RJ Band is my solo band. The “R” stands for “Bob Ruben” and the “J” stands for “Johann”. Johann is an old friend and an ex-roadie of a band I used to play with a couple of years ago. About a year ago I opened an old door which led into other doors… which I decided to walk through… What I´m trying to say is, that instead of seeking riff I wanted my fingers to play, I started to let the music lead me. No genre orientated. I just let it all come out. In all kinds of beautiful shapes.”
Here’s the complete tracklist of the album:

01. Pick A Rose
02. See Ya
03. Parallel
04. As We Lie

Necrodeath - New Album 'Draculea'
Black-thrash metal heroes Necrodeath are ready to come back with a brand new studio album, following the highly acclaimed ‘100% Hell’ and after a 25-year-long career which established them as one of the prominent acts in the European extreme metal scene. ‘Draculea’ will be the title of the new album, which is scheduled to be released in October on Scarlet Records. Here’s what former drummer Peso had to say about that:
“Immediately after the recording sessions for ‘100% Hell’ I began composing some new material, but it was in November 2006 that I realized that Necrodeath had to come back with a new record, some new material capable to improve our sound without losing our typical trademark. That’s why I had the idea to write a concept based on Vlad Tepes’ life, finding the inspiration on some books I’ve been reading recently. Every song will have its particular meaning and there will be a wide range of influences upon this new record. Pier from Labyrinth will be handling the guitar duties, with us being still in search for a permanent guitar player, and, of course, this means that the whole record will be influenced by Pier’s extraordinary style, with lots of great solos, for the first time in the band’s career. Flegias and John are also putting a lot of efforts in this record, you can be sure that everybody will notice that. Last thing is that I also came out with a definitive title for the record: ‘Draculea’. Stay tuned!”
Malfeitor - New signing and debut album 'Unio Mystica Maxima'

Malfeitor, featuring Fabban (Aborym) signed a 1-album-deal with Scarlet Records, the label who launched the first two Aborym albums, ‘Kali Yuga Bizarre’ (1999) e ‘Fire Walk With Us’ (2001), as M.Fabban himself explains:
“I know Scarlet’s crew since 1997, they know how to launch a newborn piece of evil like Malfeitor. We received lots of interesting offers in order to put some inch on paper, but Scarlet is a well organized and well structured label, they’ve been in the scene for many years. They will do a cool job for us. No doubts”.
The debut full-lenght will be out in September 2007 both in CD and vinyl LP formats. The confirmed title is ‘Unio Mystica Maxima’, 9 tracks of mind-crushing, freezing, obscure and weird Luciferian Black Metal! Here’s the tracklist:

Adveniat Infernus (INTRO)

In This Place Forever

Before the full-lenght’s release in September, Malfeitor will release a special hand-numbered 666 copies limited edition split 7” EP with the norwegian band Amok (feat. Goatpromoter Lava, ex Taake) through War Arts Production (Portugal).
